Datalogic Mobile Ticketing Setup

This document outlines how to set up a Datalogic mobile computer device to use the Advantage Mobile Ticketing app.

Setup in the Software

Manager Console

  1. From Manager Console, click Maintenance.
  2. Double-click System Settings.
  3. Double-click Modules.
  4. Open the Interfaces tab.
  5. Select Mobile Device Interface.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Double-click Mobile Device Options.
  8. Enter your Server Name.
  9. Click OK.

Card Tech

    1. From the Card Tech application, click Setup.
    2. Click Device Class Maintenance.
    3. Click Add.
    4. Enter a Device Class No and Description.
    5. Adjust the Colors if necessary.
    6. Click OK.
    7. Click Close.
    8. Click Create new device.
    9. Enter a Device ID and Description.
    10. Select the Device Class you created above.
    11. Select Ticketing Device.
    12. Open the Device Prices tab.
    13. Click Add A Device Price.
    14. Enter the price information.
      You must have at least one price to save the device.
    15. Click OK.

Setup on the Device

  1. Download the latest version of the Mobile Ticketing app here.
  2. Press the Apps button.
  3. Press�AnExplorer.
  4. Open the�Download�folder.
  5. Install the version you downloaded in step 1.
  6. Once finished, open settings.
  7. Press�Scanner settings.
  8. Verify intent wedge is enabled.
  9. Press Symbology settings.
  10. Scroll down to�Interleved 2 of 5
  11. Verify the�Enable�check-box is selected.
  12. Set�Length control�to�Range.
  13. Set�L1 length�to�18.
    You can alter this length to take shorter barcodes. i.e. For Intercard cards you must enter 14.
  14. Set�L2 length�to�18.
    If they have I 2 of 5 barcodes that have shorter lengths, this is where you would set it, but CenterEdge prints I 2 of 5 barcodes that are 18 digits
  15. Open the Advantage Mobile Ticketing app.
  16. Enter your your Server Name, which is the IP address of the main server.
  17. Log in with your employee login number and pin.
  18. Select the device you set up in Card Tech.
  19. The device should be ready to use.
  20. Upon a successful scan you will see a green box and the ticket name displayed on the device
  21. If the ticket has already been redeemed you will see a red box and an explanation for the why the ticket is not valid
