CenterEdge Software, a leading provider of point-of-sale, online sales and reservations, and ticketing systems for entertainment and recreation facilities, has been selected to serve as the point of sale (POS) system for City of Grand Prairie, Texas’ The Epic GrandCentral project set to open in November 2017.

The Epic GrandCentral, a 172-acre community center, will bring a first-ever indoor and outdoor recreation space to the heart of the city. The Epic will include major recreation/life-changing center, amphitheater, library, trails, all-inclusive playground, lake-based recreation amenities and an indoor/outdoor water park with a 160-foot by 384-foot retractable enclosure from OpenAire.

CenterEdge will deploy its Advantage Point of Sale tool to handle all admission, season pass, and food & beverage sales in addition to the facilities’ group and event booking, recurring billing and memberships needs.

“The Epic is a massive project comprised of a 120,000-square-foot recreation center, a 50,000-square-foot indoor water park and three acres of outside water attractions,” said Gary Yakesch, business operations manager, City of Grand Prairie. “We knew we would need some serious technology to help us manage this undertaking … and that a project of this scale necessitated a POS system that could handle, seamlessly, a project of this size. CenterEdge’s solution fit the need and now our employees will have a high-functioning, easy-to-use system that will help them perform their duties and deliver an unparalleled guest experience to our customers.”

“Our number-one goal for all entertainment facilities is to provide them with a tool to run their operation smoothly and efficiently. When we learned about the City of Grand Prairie’s The Epic, we knew we could help. CenterEdge Advantage will seamlessly work across all locations at The Epic, enabling easy and effective operation of the entire recreation center,” said Marcus Mayer, CEO, CenterEdge Software.
